I make photorealistic digital paintings, usually sci-fi themed, using iPad Pro, Apple Pencil and Procreate. Or at least, I used to. Then Midjourney came out :D But hey, I literally learned to see life in a completely new way. And having this skill has been massively useful in my 3D work.

A time-lapse of my third photorealistic digital painting, featuring everyone's favourite naughty android, David Weyland. I tend to paint in 30 min bursts on the tube so it's quite a challenging to edit the video to show smooth progression! If you spot things jumping a bit that's why.
I enjoyed drawing as a kid but but, like lots of people, stopped drawing as an adult. This year I set myself a challenge to learn photorealistic painting on the iPad. It started out poorly in January but by May I'd found a method to get good results. Music by Kamel Nitrate.
